The old Rosalie United Methodist Church has seen its best days, and it stands boarded-up next to the Rosalie Community Center on FM 909 at its intersection with Red River County Rd 1320.

There's not much to be found about this little church, and we're lucky to have the Texas Escapes website (see below) to identify it with a 2010 photo when it wasn't boarded up. There are a few web-spidered listings to be found, some with a post office box in nearby Bogata, but there is no listing at the United Methodist Church's site at umc.org. Rosalie itself dates to the 1880s, but it had seen its best years by about 1900. There were some popular springs in Rosalie at one time, but if they still run, they are on private property. There might be a hundred people living in the area.
The church building looks to be at least a hundred years old. It shows signs of disrepair, with boards over the doors and a few broken windows, and roofing issues around the back. A peek through the windows notes that the pews are scattered around the sanctuary, and what was probably the fellowship area on the side is cluttered with junk.
