Along the stretch of highway between Boston Bar and Yale are 7 tunnels, built between 1957 and 1964, as part of the Trans-Canada Highway. From South to North the tunnels are: Yale (1963), Saddle Rock (1958), Sailor Bar (1959), Alexandra (1964), Hell's Gate(1960), Ferrabee (1964) and China Bar (1961).

Benchmark 66C129 is south of China Bar Tunnel, a little over 3 kilomters to the north, and a little over 1 kilometer north of Ferrabee Tunnel. 66C129 was monumented in 1966 in the south face of the south end post of a concrete guard rail on the west side of the highway and at the south end of a large pullout. Further north in the pullout is a walking trail leading down to the Fraser River, near a stone monument which deals with Fraser River Fisheries.

As can be seen from the photos, the end post has been severely damaged by a vehicle impact. A metal cross and flowers beside the barrier suggest that damage to the end post may have occurred during a fatal accident.
