Depicted burgher house called "U Mramoru" ("At Marbles"), built in the second half of the 16th century, belongs especially thanks to its stone aedicular entrance portal among the most precious examples of Renaissance architecture in Kutná Hora.

The Renaissance building was constructed at the site of two older Gothic houses, acquired by the rich Kutná Hora burgher Sigmund (Stejšek) Freisichselbst of Freidnpach in 1563-1576. A badly built Renaissance gable collapsed in 1590 and during subsequent repairs a unique portal with decorative tympanum and Corinthian columns was created. The facade is decorated by valuable frescoes by František Vysekal (1911) with three scenes from the life of Kutná Hora mayor Jan Šultys of Felsdorf, living in this house and executed on the Old Town Square in Prague in 1621. House is also interesting from heraldic point of view - it is decoradted by several coats of arms: portal by stone CoA of house builder Sigmund (Stejšek) Freisichsselbst of Freidnpach and facade by fresco CoAs of famous Kutná Hora citizens and house users: Jan Šultys of Felsdorf, Kourimský of Vecín and Mikuláš Dacický of Heslov.

"U Mramoru" house is a two-storey terraced brick structure, located in the Šultysova street line, a part of the development of an important square in the Kutná Hora historic center. Building on roughly square ground plan, with perpendicular courtyard wing and narrow yard. House with architecturally distinctive main facade, topped with a lunette cornice, with window frames and an extremely rich entrance portal. In addition, the façade surface is decorated with ornamental and figural wall painting. The house is covered with hipped roof. Protected as a part of Kutná Hora UNESCO World Heritage Site.
