The waymark coordinates are for the farm gate which is situated in a layby for an easy stopping point and view down the valley.

Southill covers 20 acres and produces 4.5MW enough to power around 1100 homes, most of the local community. The Solar Farm has been design to minimise it's visual impact ensuring it lay in the fold of the land. This was achieved with a bring your brolly day where the community marked the boundaries of the panels with umbrellas to assess and amend the layout. The local community invested in the project via share and bond offering and now receive annual interests. Opened in 2016 the solar farm is anticipated to supply green energy for the next 25 years.
Type of system: Photovoltaic (electrical)
