Sonnenuhr an der Stadtkirche St. Ägidien in Waldenburg/Baden-Württemberg

Die Sonnenuhr ist gut sichtbar von der Hauptdurchfahrtsstraße. Sie befindet sich am Turm unweit der Turmuhr.

Die an der Kirche montierte Platte weiß folgendes zu berichten:

Die Kirche St. Ägidien
Erbaut von 1589 bis 1594 im Renaissancestil nach Plänen des Stuttgarter Baumeisters Georg Stegle (Berater war Heinrich Schickhardt).Der Chor diente bis 1679 als Grablege für die Grafen von Hohenlohe/Waldenburg. Beim Umbau 1968 wurden Hauptzugang und Turmhalle erneuert. 1972 bis 1974 erfolgte eine Innen- und Außenrenovierung. Die Glasfenster "Die Seligpreisungen" (2003) und "Geheimnis des Glaubens" (2007) wurden von Prof. Dr. Gottfried von Stockhausen bzw. Ada Isensee geschaffen.
2010 erfolgte die Sanierung des Turms.

The sundial is clearly visible from the main thoroughfare. It is located on the tower near the tower clock.

The plate mounted on the church reports the following:

Built from 1589 to 1594 in the Renaissance style based on plans by the Stuttgart architect Georg Stegle (adviser was Heinrich Schickhardt). The choir served as a burial place for the Counts of Hohenlohe / Waldenburg until 1679. During the renovation in 1968, the main entrance and tower hall were renewed. From 1972 to 1974 there was an interior and exterior renovation. The stained glass windows "The Beatitudes" (2003) and "Secret of Faith" (2007) were designed by Prof. Dr. Gottfried von Stockhausen or Ada Isensee created.
The tower was renovated in 2010.
