The earliest burial recorded in Mount Morgan Cemetery is that of James Kennedy in 1886 although the cemetery was reserved until 1889. The cemetery contains a broad range of headstones from the 1880's pioneers to the present day, amongst which is the Linda Memorial erected in memory of those who perished in underground collapses at the mine between 1894 and 1909. A Chinese burning tower is also located within the cemetery
