The Queens Head is an independent free-house situated next to the railway station and located by bridge 75 on the Macclesfield canal, with direct access to the pub from the towpath.

The pub has a comfortable lounge with a restaurant style area and a public bar area that has a pool table and other pub games.
Boules are played in the summer and darts, pool and crib throughout the year. They also hold quiz nights and occasionally live music events.

The pub is dog friendly with a Yappy hour on the last Sunday of every month and an enthusiastic dog walking group that meets regularly.

There is a large beer garden, with a separate children’s play area, and an outdoor covered smoking area.

Accommodation, consisting of 3 rooms, is available in an adjacent cottage.
