The classical revival style two storey rendered brick building is the oldest public building still standing in Bundaberg having been built in 1888.The feature of the building is a 2 storey arcaded verandah along the street elevation which returns on each side. The arcades are constructed of rendered brick and consist on both levels of a central arch topped by a small triangular pediment and flanked by large arches.
