La chapelle Saint-Jean, également nommée sous le vocable de chapelle Saint-Jean-de-Fuzils, est une chapelle située à Saint-Michel-l'Observatoire, en France.
De style roman, la chapelle dispose d'une abside voûtée, en cul-de-four et couverte en lauzes.
La chapelle est située sur la commune de Saint-Michel-l'Observatoire, dans le département français des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, dans le quartier d'Aurifeuille.
Cette chapelle est construite au xie siècle, elle dépendait de l'abbaye Saint-Victor de Marseille, avant d'être cédée à l'abbaye Saint-André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, au xiie siècle.
L'édifice est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques en 1979.

Sur place, une plaque nous apprend :
Le site, au carrefour de deux voies présumées antiques, a été occupé du Bas—Empire au haut Moyen Âge.
Citée dès le XIe siècle, Saint—Jean—de—Fusilis, qui pourrait remonter aux VIIIe—IXe siècles, comptait, au XIIe siècle, parmi les possessions de l’abbaye de Saint—André—de—Villeneuve—les—Avignon dont dépendaient aussi le prieuré de Salagon et l’église paroissiale de Mane.
Il ne subsiste de la période romane que l'abside appareillée et voutée en cul—de—four. Cette chapelle, agrandie au XVIIIe siècle a été inscrite aux Monuments Historiques en 1979 après d’importants travaux de sauvetage financés par l’assoCiation Les Amis de Saint—Jean.
L’ermitage attenant daterait du XVe siècle.
La chapelle est dédiée à Saint Jean—Baptiste enfant. Fête votive le 24 juin.

Randonneurs, nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer la personne qui a la clé de la chapelle et qui nous a fait visiter cette chapelle mais aussi son ermitage où des pèlerins peuvent encore aujourd'hui demander asile pour la nuit.

The adjoining hermitage dates from the 15th century.
The chapel is dedicated to Saint Jean — Baptiste as a child. Votive festival on June 24.

Hikers, we were lucky to meet the person who has the key to the chapel and who made us visit this chapel but also its hermitage where pilgrims can still today seek asylum for the night.
