What is Houston BCycle?
Houston BCycle is a bike sharing service in Houston, Texas. With a network of 24/7/365 on-demand bicycle stations throughout multiple neighborhoods in Central Houston, we provide Houstonians and visitors alike an easy, fast way to navigate the city core. Check out our station map here.

Bike sharing is perfect for leisurely rides around the city and healthier commutes to work and school. With 109 stations and 800 bikes throughout Central Houston, Houston BCycle can get you from point A to point B in the most fun way possible. Join us and #KeepHoustonRolling!
Rent.
Grab a bike from any B-station. Walk-up riders will pay with a credit card at the kiosk. Members can use the kiosk, the mobile app, or an RFID card.
Ride.
Enjoy your trip and ride safe! Walk-up riders pay a flat rate of $3 per 30 minutes. Houston BCycle members get the first 60 minutes of every ride free.
Dock.
The timer on your ride stops when you return the BCycle to any B-station in the network. Make sure to give the bike a tug to ensure that it’s fully docked.
How does it work?
Rent a BCycle from any B-station, ride it, and dock it at any B-station. It’s that simple. You can start and end your ride at any B-station.
How do you check out a BCycle?
Walk-up users can pay by credit/debit card at any B-station. If you’re using the kiosk to check out a bike, move quickly! You’ve got 30 seconds to get the bike out of its dock. See question below for pricing.
Members must sign up online, through our website or the free mobile app. Members can then check out bikes with the app or an RFID card. Members can also check out bikes using the B-station screen by entering either the phone number or credit card associated with their account.
What is the BCycle bike like?
BCyles have tons of cool features, including auto-generated front and back lights, a built-in lock and key, and three-speed gear shift.
What happens if the bike gets lost or stolen?
Contact Customer Service immediately at (713) 865-3662. You are financially responsible for any and all bikes checked out of a station on your card. If the bike you checked out is not recovered, you will be responsible for the replacement cost, $1200 plus sales tax.
Mobile App
We highly recommend downloading the BCycle mobile app, which is available on for both Apple and Android smartphones. You can start your account on the app, or simply log in if you’ve already created one.

Basket
Our BCycles have two types of basket configurations. Some have a larger basket, which is perfect for a backpack or your farmer’s market haul. The smaller baskets will easily fit a laptop bag.
Gears
Houston is a notoriously flat city, but we’ve got three gears to get you up and down the occasional hill.
Lights & Reflectors
The BCycle’s front and back lights come on when you start to pedal and we’ve got reflectors in all the right places.
Brakes
Houston BCycles are equipped with front and rear hand brakes.
Tires
Sturdy, puncture-resistant tires will give you a smooth ride on Houston’s roads.
Seat
An adjustable, cushioned seat post allows for a custom fit. Seat angle is tilted slightly upward, as the bikes are meant for an upright riding position.
Splash Guard and Chain Guard
Coverage allows for a dry, clean ride.
