De zijkanten dragen (in het Engels, Vlaams en Frans) het verhaal van de dag.
Op 7 juni veroverde de Nieuw-Zeelandse divisie deze bergrug en reed 2.000 meter door Messines naar zijn doel aan de oostkant.
Het monument werd onthuld op 1 augustus 1924 in aanwezigheid van koning Albert I en Sir Alexander Russell, voormalig commandant van de divisie Nieuw-Zeeland.
Bij het betreden van het park, zie je twee bunkers aan je rechterkant. Deze waren op Uhlan Trench, gevangen genomen door de Nieuw-Zeelandse divisie op 7 juni 1917.
De twee bunkers staan tegenover het monument aan je rechterkant als je het park binnenkomt.
Met uw rug naar het dorp Mesen kunt u de vallei en de naderingsroute bewonderd door II ANZAC bewonderen. "

On June 7, the New Zealand division captured this ridge and advanced 2,000 meters through Messines to its objective on the east side.
The memorial was unveiled on August 1, 1924 in the presence of King Albert I and Sir Alexander Russell, former commander of the New Zealand division.
Upon entering the park, you will see two bunkers on your right. These were at Uhlan Trench, captured by the New Zealand division on June 7, 1917.
The two bunkers are opposite the monument on your right when you enter the park.
With your back to the village of Mesen, you can admire the valley and the approach route traced by II ANZAC. "
