Gloriette, commemorating the victory of Austria at the Battle of Cologne, figure in 1775, as the inscription on the central part of the building reminds us: “JOSEPHO II. AUGUSTO ET MARIA THERESIA IMPERANTIB. MDCCLXXV ”(Built for the reign of Emperor Joseph II. And Empress Maria Theresa in 1775).
The beautiful building now houses a café with excellent pastries and spectacular views of Vienna. A Sunday breakfast with live music, from classical to jazz, is served on Sunday mornings.
