On a 2 m high stone column there is an inscription at the bottom: Station KOTTMAR der Kön. Sächs. Triangulierung 1864. The point is on top of a hill near the Kottmarturm lookout tower. On the map "Sächsisches Triangulationsnetz von 1890" has the number 44 and the column was built in 1864.
