Trail of Death

On Oct. 24, 1838 about 800 Potawatomi Indians camped near Carrollton on forced emigration from Indiana to Kansas. Cold was intense on the prairie.


There are 24 markers (that I know of) from Twin Lakes, Indiana to Osawatomie, Kansas. This one is in Carrollton, Missouri.
