" Funeral of Oulton & Barlaston councillor
The funeral of Peter Proctor, the borough councillor for Oulton and Barlaston who died over the Christmas period, will take place on Thursday 6th January.
Councillor Proctor passed away on Boxing Day following a long illness. He was 73. The father of two had represented the Barlaston and Oulton ward on Stafford Borough Council since 2007.
Council chief executive Ian Thompson said: “Our thoughts are with Peter’s friends and family at this time. He was a popular councillor and will be greatly missed by his colleagues and the officers across the council who knew him.”

A meeting of the Council’s Cabinet which was due to take place at 10am on Thursday has now been moved to 6.30pm on that day to allow colleagues to attend the funeral." Source: (
