The Sokol was founded in Nusle as early as 1888. The original old Sokol Centre was built in a picturesque Anglican style, but later (between 1923 and 1925) it was rebuilt (Nusle no. 317, Táborská Street) into the Hussite Corps when the current construction was completed. The Nusle Sokol house on the square of the Czechoslovak Legionnaires (today General Kutlvašr).
