FR Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert se situe sur la Voie du Sud, ou encore Via Tolosana, au départ d’Arles.
Ce chemin permet aux pèlerins en provenance d’Italie et de la Provence de se rendre à SaintJacques-de-Compostelle.
Les fontaines d’eau potable du village sont ornées d’une coquille Saint-Jacques, indiquant ainsi aux pèlerins assoiffés qu’ils peuvent remplir leurs gourdes d’eau fraîche pour la suite du chemin.

Cette fontaine semble intégrée au mur de la maison Lorimy. L'écoulement déverse son eau dans un bac arrondi. Sur le coté, comme pour toutes les fontaines du village, une coquille de St Jacques au dessus de laquelle est gravée "eau potable" indique aux pèlerins qu'il peuvent étancher leur soif ici.
EN Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert is located on the Voie du Sud, or Via Tolosana, from Arles.
This path allows pilgrims from Italy and Provence to go to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.
The village drinking water fountains are decorated with a scallop shell, indicating so thirsty pilgrims can fill their water bottles with fresh water for the rest of the path.

This fountain seems to be integrated into the wall of the Lorimy house. The flow pours its water into a rounded tank. On the side, as for all the fountains of the village, a scallop shell above which is engraved "drinking water" indicates to pilgrims that they can quench their thirst here.
