This warren Truss footbridge connects Gerald Road on the west side of the river with St. Boniface Road on the east side.

As well as providing a crossing across the river for people travelling east to west it also provides a crossing for people walking north or south along the banks of the river.
The are footpaths along many stretches of the river but normally only on one side or the other.
This is one those places where the path switches sides.
To the north of the bridge the footpath is on the west bank of the river and to the south it on the east bank.
