On the south lawn of the Kiowa County Courthouse, a beautiful tile mosaic shows a map of Kiowa County, and notes towns, rivers, mountains and events. The mosaic is surrounded by a wrought iron fence with silhouettes of several WWII items.

The mosaic has dozens of tiles specifically honoring individual citizens of Kiowa County who lost their lives in war. Wars noted are WWI, WW2, Iraq, Vietnam and Korea. The Korean tiles honor Comanche men. There is also a large memorial to Medal of Honor recipient Capt. J. L. Treadwell. This is a beautiful mosaic and a very unique war memorial.
