Die Kugelbake ist ein aus Holz errichtetes Seezeichen in Cuxhaven. Gemessen vom mittleren Tidehochwasser bis zur Mitte der kleinen Kugel beträgt ihre Höhe 28,4 m. Der Ausdruck Bake geht auf das Mittelalter zurück, in dem alle Seezeichen – auch Leuchttürme – so genannt wurden. Sie ist das Wahrzeichen von Cuxhaven und seit 1913 im Wappen der Stadt abgebildet. Ein Vorgängerbauwerk diente noch als Leuchtturm; heute wird die Kugelbake nur noch nachts als Touristenattraktion angestrahlt. Sie bildet die seewärtige Begrenzung der Elbe, also das Ende der Binnenelbe nach dem Bundeswasserstraßengesetz.
Die Kugelbake markiert die Grenze zwischen Elbe und Nordsee.

Bei Kugelbacke endet / beginnt praktisch der Elberadweg. Im Jahr 2018 wurde er bereits zum 14. Mal in Folge von Mitgliedern des ADFC zum beliebtesten Radfernweg Deutschlands gewählt.

The Kugelbake is a historic aid to navigation in the city of Cuxhaven, Germany, at the northernmost point of Lower Saxony, where the River Elbe flows into the North Sea. In the Low German dialect of the Middle Ages, the term bake referred to all navigational aids – including lighthouses. About 30 meters (100 feet) high and built of wood, the Kugelbake is the principal landmark of Cuxhaven; since 1913, it has been depicted on the city's coat of arms. Large wooden structures guiding mariners have stood on this spot for over 300 years.
The Kugelbake marks the border between the river Elbe and the North Sea.

Kugelbake je historická pomucka pro navigaci ve meste Cuxhaven v Nemecku v nejsevernejším bode Dolního Saska, kde Labe tece do Severního more. V dolnorakouském dialektu stredoveku se termín péct týkal všech navigacních pomucek - vcetne majáku. Asi 30 metru vysoká a postavená ze dreva je Kugelbake hlavní dominantou Cuxhavenu; od roku 1913 je vyobrazen na erbech mesta. Na tomto míste stály velké drevené struktury, které vedly námorníky.
