EN: "Vert an orb Argent in chief four plates." (Flags of the World)

Visperterminen used to consist of four independent villages, which had a very tense relationship for centuries until 1715, when they merged to form today's municipality. The four balls in the flag symbolize these four villages. I could not find the meaning of the orb.

I found the flag on a lamp post in the village center between the bus stop and the gondola station. In addition to the municipal flag, there was also the flag of the Visperterminen tourist office.

Visperterminen bestand früher aus vier eigenständigen Dörfern, die über Jahrhunderte ein sehr angespanntes Verhältnis zueinander hatten, bis sis sich 1715 zur heutigen Gemeinde zusammen schlossen. Die vier Kugeln in der Flagge symbolisieren diese vier Dörfer. Die Bedeutung des Reichsapfel konnte ich nicht finden.

Ich fand die Flagge an einem Lampenpfosten im Dorfzentrum zwischen der Bushaltestelle und der Bergbahntalstation. Neben der Gemeindeflagge wehte noch die Flagge des Tourismusbüros von Visperterminen.
