Das Kreuz ist in der Liste der Baudenkmäler Erlangen-Büchenbach enthalten.
Es wurde als gusseisernes Kreuz auf Steinsockel in Jahre 1845 errichtet.
Die Inschrift im Sockel lautet "Gelobt sei Jesus Christus".
