The map has a good representation of the streets, and walking track along the Camden Haven River, with a 1.8km radius circle drawn, to represent a '30 minute walk' zone. There are plenty of different icons used to identify places, such as: Accessible Toilet, Toilet, Parking, Police Station, Post Office, Boating Facility, Boat Ramp, Fire Station, Food & Drink, Library & Council Customer Service Centre, Lookout, Medical Facility, Memorial Swimming Pool, Movie Theatre, Museum, Picnic [area], Playground, Shopping, Skate Park, Beach to Beach River Walk, Proposed Beach to Beach River Walk, and Walking Trail. It also shows the start of the North Brother Mountain Walking Trail, near the centre of Laurieton.
The double-sided, 1.8m tall sign is reminiscent of a bus stop sign, with a plastic-slat bench, facing the river right next to it on the concrete footpath. Both sides have different information on the Beach to Beach walking trail, depending on the direction you are facing: Laurieton - 50 min/2.5km, North Haven Village - 1 hour 40 min/5km, and North Haven Beach - 2 hour 20 min/7km; Dunbogan Reserve - 10 min/500m, and Pilot Beach - 1 hour 20 min/4km. But the two maps are identical.
