On this site in 1940, the Royal
Canadian Navy operated a
High Frequency Radio Station
with the call-sign CFF. The
station received and trans-
mitted messages between Naval
Service Headquarters, Allied
Authorities, ships at sea
and frequently intercepted
enemy transmissions. This
plaque is dedicated on behalf
of all naval veterans, to those
who served here.

la Marine Royale du Canada
a érigé un bâtiment pour y
loger une station radio à
haute fréquence dont le sig
nal était CFF. Cette station a
reçu et transmis des messages
entre le Quartier Général du
Service Naval, les autorités
alliés, les navires en mer et
aussi intercepta de nombreux
messages ennemis. Tous les
anciens combattants de la marine
dédient cette plaque à
ceux qui ont servi ici.
