Vitraux du sanctuaire – travaux de restauration
Leur restauration a commencé! Les vitres extérieurs et les cadres en bois doivent également être réparés.
Nous avons découvert qu’à un certain moment dans leur histoire ils ont été installés à l’envers, probablement lors du remplacement des fenêtres extérieurs. La photo ci-dessus démontre, en noir et blanc, l’arrangement actuel; les vitraux en couleur démontrent l’arrangement que nous voulons restauré. Alors nous pouvons les restaurer avec les visages des saints regardant Notre Seigneur, qui donnerait sa bénédiction avec la main droite, comme il se doit.

Stained Glass Window Repairs – Sanctuary
Restoration of the sanctuary windows has begun! The exterior glass and wooden frames also need repair. We have discovered that they had been installed backwards at some point in their history, perhaps when the exterior windows were replaced at some point.
The photo above shows the present arrangement (in black and white); the colour photos show how they should be arranged. The PDF file here can show you in more detail on your computer: Sanctuary Windows
This means we can restore them to their proper orientation, having the faces of the saints facing Our Lord, and Our Lord blessing us with his right hand, as is proper.
The stained glass windows can be visited on the following days and times:
Sunday
8:30 a.m. Low Mass
10:30 a.m. High Mass
6:30 p.m. Low Mass
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday- 7:00 a.m. & 7:30 p.m.
Thursday 7:00 a.m. & 12:00 noon
Saturday 7:00 am & 9:00 a.m.
