Ali Kemp, age nineteen, was home for the summer and working at the Leawood Community Pool after her freshman year at Kansas State University. Her body was found in the pool pump room by her father; the killer was sentenced to fifty years in prison.
The life-size bronze statue portrays Ali as a little girl. Dressed in casual play clothes, she holds a bird in each hand.
