The Han River runs through the centre of the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang and empties into the Da Nang Bay, which is part of the South China Sea. The mouth of the River is at the northern end of Da Nang City. The land approach to the Bay is blocked to the general public. The best view of the Bay is from the centre of the Thuan Phuoc Bridge that spans the River mouth.
The view from the bridge is spectacular. There are pedestrian walking paths on both sides of the bridge. Pedestrian access requires a total walk of three kilometres. One can walk across the Bridge from east or west, access to the bridge is located about one kilometre each side of the River. These are major intersections that permit people to enter the Bridge pathway. Parking is available on side streets around these access points.
