DESOTO RM 3 (AG0291) is located along the west side of the Pinellas Byway within Fort De Soto county park. It is roughly halfway between the campground access and the Park Entrance Station (fee collection booth).
There is a $5 fee to enter the park and at least $1.75 in tolls required to reach the park.
This one is listed on geocaching.com (
visit link) although the coordinates are off by 100meters (331'). In 2005 the US Power Squadron posted coordinates "N27 37.745 W82 43.035" which is within 1-2 meters (6') of what I recorded with my phone.
The disk is in good condition but may at times be covered in sand. A witness post sign is present although this may be a newly added feature.
