FR Montsalier est une commune française, située dans le département des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

Autrefois, le village était installé sur un éperon rocheux mais il a été abandonné depuis bien longtemps. Les villageois ont préférés s'installer plus près des terres cultivées et ne plus avoir à descendre tous les matins pour remonter chaque soir.

Autour de l'église, du lavoir et de la fontaine s'est réorganisée la vie de Montsalier. La fontaine est constituée d'un bac, assez haut (plus d'un mètre) appuyé sur un mur qui sert aussi de monument aux morts. Du mur deux écoulement permettent à l'eau de remplir le bac.
EN Montsalier is a French commune, located in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Formerly, the village was installed on a rocky outcrop but it has been abandoned for a long time. The villagers preferred to settle closer to the cultivated land and no longer have to go down every morning to go back up every evening.
Around the church, the wash house and the fountain, the life of Montsalier was reorganized. The fountain is made up of a fairly high tank (over a meter) leaning on a wall which also serves as a monument to the dead. From the wall two outlets allow water to fill the tank.
