The shaped white marble upright slab stands atop a white marble prism for George's wife - Annie Jane, who died 22 September, 1934 - aged 67 years. Beneath which is a white marble tablet, possibly for their grandchild - Russell John [Farley] - who died 6 September, 1936, only aged 2 years an 8 months!

The reason for this submission is the top inscription, which reads:

In Loving Memory of
my dear Husband
& our dear Father
GEORGE FARLEY
Accidentally killed Feb 23 1924
Aged 73 years.

While nothing was found online about the accidental nature of George's death, at his ripe age of 74, it can be noted that he was born in 1850, to John Farley (1828-1900) and Louisa (nee Ledger), 1829 - 1905, and that he married Annie Jane Smith on 10 January 1887 at Stroud, not too far south of here.
