Essentially any disc golf course that is on public school grounds is playable only when school hours are over or school is not in session, like weekends or school holidays. There are a few exceptions, but usually school disc golf courses are only accessible during non-school hours.

Tejeda Middle School (AKA: Frank Tejeda Middle School) is a 12 hole disc golf course that is located behind the main school buildings. Access onto the disc golf playing area is a bit tricky even when you are there during NON-school hours when playing is open to the public. When school is not in session, you can park in the front parking lot of the school. Find the roadway that goes around the right side of the building and walk along the fence to the end where the gate is found. Between the gate and the fence is a gap for pedestrians to pass into the back part of the school property. This is where the 12th - 8th tees and baskets are found. To get to the 1st tee pad, you have to walk in a big arch around the back of the property until you are on the hill above and behind the bleachers by the track and football field. There is a well worn pathway up the side of the hill to the right of the grandstands when you are facing them. The 1st tee is at the top of the hill about 50 feet toward the bleachers once you reach the hilltop.

There are actually two 1st tee pads. The coordinates are for the "normal" tee pad that is closest to the 1st basket location. The second, "advanced skill" pad is behind both the first tee pad and behind the bleachers. The advanced skill pad is close to one of the pavilions of the History Hill cluster of buildings. Once you find the first tee pad, this description will make sense. From either 1st tee pad, you will be looking across the ground into the typical Hill Country scrub brush of rocky ground with minimal soil covered with sedge grasses and small mesquite trees and other assorted prickery, hard limbed, drought tolerant vegetation and shrubs. This is classic primitive Hill Country ground cover that is hard to walk through and harder still to throw discs through. The first six or seven holes are placed within this primitively rough terrain that has no landscaping. The back half, from hole eight through twelve are in the part of the school ground that is mowed and manicured. There are large oak trees that may interfere with a disc throw, but the ground is more dirt than rocks and is flat instead of irregular. Once you learn where the tees are and where the associated baskets are, the game and your score will improve. There does not appear to be an informational board or a diagram of the overall course to instruct in finding the tees or baskets other than on the posts of each hole's tee pad. It would greatly benefit the public who play this course if the school (or a Life Scout looking for an Eagle Scout Project) would post a display of the whole course where the public can see the way the course is laid out. This diagram of the course would be a huge improvement.
