This parish was organized in 1859 by Rev. John Owen then of Nacogdoches. In Nov. 1874 three lots were secured for church purposes, and on the 11th of December, the corner stone of the new church was laid. James Firth Brook designed the building, erected in 1875-76 on Oak Street. The congregation grew with the town and in 1903 the structure was moved to corner of N. Sycamore and E. Crawford.

The church was destroyed by fire in February 1982. The current blonde brick building was erected the next year.
Year of construction: 1983
