Royal Oak Cottage, Well Street, Brassington, with a date stone 1880. Although the building is older, heavily remodelled in the late 19th century, when the date stone was added.

The Royal Oak was once a pub around 1849 when the publican was a Sarah Slack. However it was not a pub for long, becoming a shop, and later the village post office. It is now in use as a holiday let.
Year of construction: 1880
