Salem Baptist Church is located on the northeast side of town, at the intersection of 3rd and Madison. This is a one-story brick building with a steep gabled roof. To the east of the sanctuary is a metal classroom and fellowship hall addition. The front entrance faces south with two metal doors. Windows in the worship area are double-hung.
A cornerstone on the church shows the date 1958. Embedded in a brick flower garden at the entrance is a second cornerstone from a previous building showing the date of 1910. On the grounds is a bell tower displaying the bell from this earlier building. The church does not appear to have a website for further information.
