This electric meter has a digital display of the electricity generated by nearby solar panels used by Concordia College. Concordia received a grant to build a high tunnel greenhouse. The President’s Sustainability Council decided a solar system could extend the growing season and generate electricity. Information from Concordia's web-site.
At Concordia College students can choose to Major or Minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies .Majors can choose from the following concentrations: Natural Sciences, Environmental Policy, Sustainable Studies, Contract and Environmental Humanities, helping student become ecologically literate citizens of the earth by studying environmental science. Courses are uniquely designed and utilize experts not just from the sciences, but many departments across campus. (

Concordia has installed solar panels on the top of the head house located at the Cornucopia garden [this Waymark location] which provides power for the garden operations. There is also a small solar installation on the top of the Integrated Science Center which was completed in 2018. This information come from the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS v2.2) The report also states the following; Electricity from on-site, non-combustion facilities/devices (e.g., renewable energy systems) 98,530.70 Kilowatt-hours. This figure is for three sets of solar panels that are located on campus. (
