CZ: Smetana je starý rozlehlý kráter na planete Merkur. Jeho strední souradnice ciní 48,2° jižní šírky a 70,0° západní délky. Má prumer 190 kilometru a je od roku 1985 pojmenovaný Mezinárodní astronomickou unií po ceském hudebním skladateli Bedrichu Smetanovi. Ve stredu jeho nerovného dna se nachází menší kráter, další krátery lze nalézt i jinde uvnitr Smetany. Nejvýraznejší z nich je impaktní kráter s malým centrálním vrcholkem dotýkající se severozápadního okrajového valu. Jihovýchodní val je narušen atypickým útvarem složeným ze dvou soustredných kráteru.
Bedrich Smetana (2. brezna 1824 Litomyšl – 12. kvetna 1884 Praha) byl významným ceským hudebním skladatelem, dnes známým predevším cyklem symfonických básní Má vlast a operami Libuše a Prodaná nevesta. Jeho skladby vznikaly v období romantismu.

It has a diameter of 190 kilometers and has been named since 1985 by the International Astronomical Union after the Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. In the middle of its uneven bottom is a smaller crater, other craters can be found elsewhere inside Smetana. The most striking of these is the impact crater with a small central peak touching the northwest edge of the mound. The southeast wall is disturbed by an atypical formation consisting of two concentric craters.
Bedrich Smetana (2 March 1824 Litomyšl - May 12, 1884 Prague) was a prominent Czech composer, now known primarily for his cycle of symphonic poems Má vlast (My Country) and operas Libuše and Prodaná nevesta (The Bartered Bride). His compositions were made during the Romantic period.
