El Reno Municipal Air Park (ICAO: KRQO, FAA LID: RQO, and designated by the FAA as a "regional airport") is south of El Reno, Oklahoma. The airport was constructed in 1943 by the U.S. Army Air Force as a training base, and had three turf airstrips. As demand for new pilots decreased the airport was given to the City of El Reno in 1944. After some years of disuse the airport was improved with a long concrete runway (17/35) and adjoining asphalt taxiways. The airport now supports about sixty flights per day, almost all general aviation.
