Marion Osborne
1871-1931

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Osborne was a poet and a dramatist. She came from a family rich in litterary skill. Both her grandfathers and her cousin were well known authors. For many years she lived in Toronto, but from 1920 to her death she lived in Ottawa. She was the author of ‘Poems’ (1914). ‘Song of Israel and other poems’ (1923), ‘Flight of Commander Stork’ (1925), a lyrical drama entitled ’Sappho and Phaon’ (1926) and a prose comedy called ’The Point of View’ (1926).

Née à Montréal, QC, Mme Osborne fut poète et dramaturge. Elle provient d’une famille rich en habiletés littéraires. Ses deux grands-pères et sa cousine étaient des auteurs connus. Pendant de nombreuses années, elle a vécu à Toronto, mais de 1920 à son décès elle a vécu à Ottawa. Elle est l’auteur de Poems » (1914), « The song of Israel and other poems » (1923), « Flight of Commander Stork» (1925), Un drame lyrique intitule « Sappho and Phaon » (1926) et une comédie en prose intitulée « The Point of View » (1926)
