The single clock is located on the tower of the Co-operative Food supermarket on Market Street.
The date 1998 is situated at the above the arch at the entrance to the supermarket from the carpark at the rear of the building. The arch is at the bottom of a tower that has a tile mural depicting a scene of Bakewell and above that a town clock.
The clock faces the carpark and is set into the stones on the tower. It has a white face surrounded with gold, black roman numerals and black hands with gold lined markings.
