The mural is of a tribe of Native Americans, most riding horses which are pulling travois with wrapped goods. A youngster is riding on a small travois pulled by a dog.
This mural “Indians Moving” by Suzanne Scheuer was originally painted for the historic former Caldwell post office building with funding from the Treasury Section of Fine Arts. It was later relocated to the Burleson County Courthouse.
