John and Annie Stewart were hay farmers along the banks of the Nickomekl River. Today this barn and many of the outbuildings are part of a heritage site centred on late 19th-century farming.

Stewart Farm - Pole Barn is recognized by the City of Surrey as Heritage Site #13.
