"These are Chilean Flamingos (chilensis) meaning from Chile, although the Chilean Flamingos are found in other parts of South America. The flamingos get their color from their diet which is algae, as well as small animals which feed on algae such as shrimp, mollusks and insect larvae. We feed our flamingos a canthaxathin diet to keep them healthy and balanced."
