"This respected co-ed institution provided education in the classics for Quaker and non-Quaker students along with eminent scholars from the northeast. Oakwood Seminary suffered severe damage from a fire in 1918 and was eventually torn down, later becoming the site of a Seventh Day Adventist Church."
