Thje sculpture is made of metal. It consists of a pedestal with an American flag draped over it. There's an eagle on top with its leg stretched out. A plaque at the base reads:

"Spirit of Sutter Creek. 1991. This sculpture was created and placed as a symbol of community spirit and involvement by many dedicated individuals who gave themselves to make our community a better place in which to live, This sculpture was made possible in part, by the Joe Gardella family in memory of David Gardella."
