"Black Bart inn is a combination of three buildings built from 1856 to 1893. Two started out as general stores, the Tassarro stone store built in 1856 and the Ganz and Praq's brick store built in 1859. The other building, where the coffee shop is now, started out as an office building built by William Pfortner in 1893. After serving as a watchmaker's shop and barbershop and stores owned by several different families, William Treat, son of one of the store owners remodeled all three buildings into the Treat Hotel in 1930. Today, the buildings mostly house the Black Bart Inn with a coffee shop and restaurant."
