The Lindemann and Hoverson Co. was founded in Milwaukee in 1890. The company initially produced roasting pans, stove pipe and wood and coal stoves. Gas stoves and a range of other products were added at a later date. The serial number on the side of the range indicates that is a right hand gas model. Although it is undated, similar stoves by competing manufacturers can be found that are dated to the 1920's.The stove is located in the SanTan Historical Society Museum in the historic Rittenhouse Elementary School. The museum is open only on Saturday from 9-1. There is no admission charge.
