A gazebo just east of the Johnny Appleseed Visitor Information Center on the westbound side of Route 2 in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Located between Exits 35 and 34, it includes a "You Are Here" map and a re-purposed Wachusett Mountain Ski Area ski lift bench that features hand painted scenes depicting the American pioneer nurseryman.
The wood post and beam structure is mounted on an octagonal concrete pad embedded flush with the surrounding lawn and apple trees. The gazebo is painted brown, has brown asphalt shingles, and is topped with a small, metal-capped cupola. A solid ceiling, made from planks painted the same brown, is punctuated by recessed lights around its perimeter. A map of Massachusetts is mounted behind plexiglass on the west side of a freestanding bulletin board centered on the gazebo floor.
