[GER] Der Leuchtturm Dahmeshöved ist ein Leuchtfeuer in der Gemeinde Dahme im Kreis Ostholstein in Schleswig-Holstein.
Er wurde 1878/79 auf einer Höved (nddt. für Anhöhe) errichtet und diente der Schifffahrt auf dem Lübeck-Gedser-Weg in der Lübecker und der Mecklenburger Bucht. Als 28,8 m hoher, achteckiger Ziegelturm mit einer von einer Galerie umgebenen eisernen Laterne, steht er etwa zwei Kilometer südlich von Dahme.
Zu dem Leuchtturm, der unter Denkmalschutz steht, gehörte eine Luftnebelschallanlage bzw. ein Nebelhorn. Deren Ton hatte 300 Hz und sandte den Morsebuchstaben „D“ (lang, kurz, kurz). 1982 wurde der vorhandene rote Farbanstrich mit weißem Band ersatzlos entfernt und das rote Ziegelmauerwerk freigelegt.
Das Leuchtfeuer war ursprünglich eine Flamme, die mit Petroleum gespeist wurde und ihr Licht über eine Fresnellinse nach außen abgab. Der Umstellung auf Gas erfolgte 1925, später die Umstellung auf elektrischen Strom. Zurzeit (2018) ist eine 400 W starke Halogen-Metalldampflampe eingebaut, die mit einer Lichtstärke von ca. 140 000 Candela eine Reichweite von etwa 23 sm bzw. 43 km hat.

[ENG] The lighthouse Dahmeshöved is a lighthouse in the municipality Dahme in the district Ostholstein in Schleswig-Holstein.
It was built 1878/79 on a Höved (nddt. for hill) and served for navigation on the Lübeck-Gedser-Weg in Lübeck and Mecklenburg Bay. As a 28.8 m high, octagonal brick tower with an iron lantern surrounded by a gallery, it stands about two kilometres south of Dahme.
To the lighthouse, which is under monument protection, belonged an air fog sound system or a fog horn. Its tone was 300 Hz and sent the Morse letter "D" (long, short, short). In 1982 the existing red paint with white ribbon was removed without replacement and the red brickwork was exposed.
The beacon was originally a flame fed with petroleum and emitted its light to the outside via a Fresnel lens. The conversion to gas took place in 1925, later the conversion to electricity. At present (2018) a 400 W strong halogen metal vapour lamp is installed, which has a range of approx. 23 nm or 43 km with a luminous intensity of approx. 140 000 Candela.
