BC IN BED ROCK, FLUSH WITH GRADE. SOUTHERLY CORNER OF INTERSECTION HWY 17 AND TOWN LINE OF McNAB AND FITZROY. BC IN BEDROCK 13.5 M FROM CENTERLINE HWY 17 AND 9.45 M FROM CENTERLINE OF TOWN LINE.

This 1980 Ontario Natural Resources horizontal marker is at the intersection of Connifer Lane (old town line) and Madawaska Boulevard (old highway 17) in the eastern outskirts of Arnprior.

Connifer Lane is the road allowance which once divided McNab township, Renfrew county, from Fitzroy township, Carleton county. Interestingly, the co-ordinates published in the provincial COSINE database would put the marker on the incorrect side of the county line. This marker is not in the federal database.
