A tree dedicated to Patricia L. Pruitt is planted south of the Unity Park Community Garden in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. It is just east of the parking lot and west of the skatepark. Wide open vistas of the Connecticut River are to its north and east.

A Massachusetts native, she was born and raised in Haverhill. She earned degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Naropa University, taught at Boston College and Bay State College, was a Dean at Bay State College, served as a Selectman for the Town of Montague, and was a published poet.
